PDHonline Course Provider Biography
Mr. Andel has a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management, a Bachelors Degree in Building Design and Construction and an Associates Degree in Mechanical Technology. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in two states plus holds several construction related certifications. He began his engineering career in 1977 as a construction field engineer on petrochemical projects and in 1979 reentered the U.S. Air Force and served as a Civil Engineering Officer and Unit Commander until retiring from active duty in 1996. From 1996 to 2018 he was a Senior Engineer on a variety of military equipment design, development and testing programs and as a Project Manager on numerous heavy construction projects. Since 2018 Mr. Andel has been providing consulting engineering services on a part time basis.
In addition to over 40 years of engineering experience, Mr. Andel is also an experienced training provider. While serving in the Air Force he was Commander of the Air Force Combat Support Training Complex, Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, where he directed a staff of 80 professional instructors responsible for curriculum development and training of over 8,000 military personnel annually in various combat related engineering, construction and support skills. He has also conducted in-house training in the areas of Crane Safety, Rigging and Welding Inspection on an as required basis.
