PDHonline Course Provider Biography
Dr. Maryam Golabchi holds a Ph.D. degree in Computational Materials Science with a special focus on Nano composite Materials Modeling from the Colorado School of Mines. As a material scientist, she has modeled semiconductor structures, reinforced metal matrix and ceramic composites, and has also contributed to the design of a new generation of metallic-ceramic composites.
Dr. Golabchi earned her M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in Chemical Engineering. As a process engineer, she was involved in a number of projects encompassing feasibility study, detailed design and root cause analysis of alumina, aluminum, hematite, and magnetite production projects.
Since beginning her career as a heat transfer engineer, she has acquired more than seventeen years of experience in a number of different engineering areas. Dr. Golabchi was granted the prestigious $150,000 “Faculty for the Future” award. She has taught courses and held seminars on Computational Simulations, Nanotechnology, Composites, Modern Ceramics, and Process Engineering Documentation.
