PDHonline Course Provider Biography
Mr. Harper is a professionally licensed environmental engineer with over fifteen years experienceper forming a variety of environmental studies, assessments, and resource management. A majority of his work effort has focused on the preservation of natural resources in relation to the design, permitting, construction, restoration, and operation of natural gas transmission pipelines. Pipelines, by their nature as linear projects, traverse long distances and typically cross a vast array ofenvironmental features in numerous quantities, such as: Wetlands; Waterbodies; Archaeological sites; Historic features; Unique habitats; Agricultural lands; and Rare, threatened, & endangered species.
Mr. Harper has demonstrated proficiency in the preservation of these, and other, resources while facilitating the creation and operation of major energy projects throughout the eastern United States. Mr. Harper has also expanded his environmental base to include competence in workplace safety via U.S. Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) regulations, employee training, and extensive public speaking. Some accomplishments in these areas include: Developed and maintained proactive safety program for start-up natural gas transmission pipeline operating company, including the installation of engineering controls; and Generated and provided extensive company specific safety training modules utilizing avariety of multimedia components.
