Warren T. Jones holds the BEE degree from Georgia Institute of Technology, M.S. degree in mathematics from Georgia State University and M.S. and Ph.D. in Information and Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Techology. He is a registered professional engineer. He worked for six years with Lockheed-Georgia Company as an engineer. After completing the Ph.D., he joined the faculty of the Speed School of Engineering at the University of Louisville and later served as Professor and Chair of the Department of Computer and Information Sciences at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) until his retirement in 2003. He is currently Professor Emeritus at UAB.
